moe. @ The Truman Kansas City

Event Details

moe. is back on tour! It is EXTREMELY important that I see them this time. Their first set at Summer Camp 2017 got washed out and that entire festival ended up being a huge disappointment. In fact, the Summer Camp 2017 experience was so poor it soured me on the festival entirely and I don’t plan on returning. Anyhow, I wasn’t too worried about missing some moe. sets because they were scheduled to come to KC later that summer. Unfortunately their 2017 show was canceled because their bassist – Rob Derhak – was diagnosed with cancer. The band went on hiatus while he was undergoing treatment. Rob is doing well, moe. is coming to KC, and I’m going to see them!

This show overlaps with this year’s 2018 MOA Rally, I’ve made my decision that seeing moe. is as important as going to the rally so I’m going to do both. Weather, health, and probably some other stuff, can get in the way of attending a rally or seeing/hearing one of my favorite bands so I’m going to go to the rally on Thursday and head home Saturday morning so I can be home in time to get to The Truman to see moe. I’ve not seen a show at The Truman so I’m also looking forward to checking out this new-to-me venue. Doors @ 7:00 with the show @ 8:00 sounds like a good time to me. I hope to see you there!
